In-ear headphones have always suffered from the inability to accurately reproduce frequencies below about 200Hz. Suppressing the low-pitched resonance of the diaphragm was difficult using traditional techniques in such a small device. Other frequency ranges suffered similar distortions.
The NW-STUDIO series has dealt with the problem by projecting the sound through a series of pores above the speaker diaphragm itself. The powerful airflow this creates is enough to suppress the low-pitched resonances and allow the NW-STUDIO series headphones to reproduce deeper, more accurate base and treble without turning up the volume.
Avoid Standing Waves
Most headphones project sound across the whole face of the speaker diaphragm onto the entire eardrum, where they then bounce back and forth between the two as a standing wave, which interferes with the rest of the music. By offsetting the pores on the NW-STUDIO series headphones, these reflected and standing waves are eliminated, allowing you to experience clear, full-bodied sound reproduction.
